January and February have been so crazy that we only posting January weddings now!
You only realize how far Pretoria is when you have to leave this early to get to Brides place. Karishma and Rushil got married at the Velmore wedding venue in Erasmia, Pretoria on the 15th January 2012. This was the first shoot of our upcoming 3 weddings in Pretoria. Karishma wanted a very classic feel for her couples shoot, only when we saw her look on the wedding day did we fully understand why. She wore a golden net outfit encrusted with millions of crystals. When we saw this we knew it was going to shoot perfectly against the classic buildings we found for her location. On the location shoot we had some great body guards. A special thank you goes out to all who assisted us on location. Venue: Velmore Hotel, Banquet & Conference Estate Make up and Hair : Manisha Decor: Chetna

So it was the start of our travel journey, we made our way to Pretoria for this shoot. Strangely enough this is our first shoot in the city of jacarandas. I'm sure many off you will agree that Johannesburg and Pretoria around this time of the year is simply beautiful. Anjli and Prajesh get married next year January. The couple are Lacoste fans and that is the reason for our first shoot being casual. On location we found this amazing shed with train tracks going through. The colour of the shed and couples outfit is purely coincidental. The second shoot I themed slightly more formal. I always think it’s a good idea to shoot 2 options for a couple shoot incase the first idea dates and a few year down the line u' ll be thinking 'what was I thinking'. Anjli and Prajesh were quite lucky with this shoot, as we had just bought two brand new Nikon lens from the photo and film expo the day before. Not many of you know my one weakness is shopping, so together that and photography combined really who could resist. Now there’s just one more lens I need. more images

So I’ve been really busy and just haven’t had the time to do a post , so the post below is actually from Mitesh. Let’s hope it’s a first of many..:) The day finally arrived 26 March. Poonam had been waiting for this day for as long as I can remember. It’s the day she got married to Sacheen. We started the day off early, and arrived at Poonam's place where we were left with lots of time 2 capture lovely detail shots of her outfit, bangles and other accessories - which I totally love shooting. We patiently await for the arrival of Phindi her makeup artist who we have been seeing a lot lately. Poonam made a gorgeous bride, in a outfit that really sparkled when all the lights were on her. Hema said that “the most romantic bit of the wedding was the little recording Sacheen had playing while she walked in. Sacheen couldn’t get his eyes of his bride and looked for any opportunity to make her laugh”. Because this was a late afternoon wedding we had to rush off as soon as the wedding was over for the location shoot and if any of you follow Hema on twitter this is the wedding she was going on about the 'hay bales', we had chosen a few locations for this wedding, but none of them seemed really wow. Until she spotted these hay bales one afternoon driving home, this was about 3 weeks before this wedding. In the last week I noticed that they had now be stacked next to each other and seemed to be ready for collection. Everyone thinks what the big deal if we had to use another location, but what most peoples don’t get is that we have to wait a whole year to be able to shoot this again and that’s if we have wedding around that times. So with a little bit on hope and luck we managed to use the hay bales as our location. Well to finish Mitesh's post this off, I’m sure we can all agree that Poonam and Sacheen made a very good looking couple and that where ever I shot them the images would still be beautiful. more images Ps: we off on a holiday so my next post will probably be from our amazing adventure in kerala or dubai (if u around the same area send me a message maybe we can do a couples shoot) Make up: Phindi Sound: Mitesh 26th February 2011
This blog post is a little late, but I have been so busy that I’m struggling to find time to write these posts. We arrived at Asmitas house at about 1pm and met these absolutely gorgeous kids in the cutest little outfits. They entertained Mitesh while trying to catch bugs in a jar. They filled the house with joy and excitement as they ran around bringing smiles to family members who were still getting ready. With Asmita being done on time we found that it’s a lot better to have a little extra time with the bride once she's dressed. We suggest planning at least 30min after you dressed for us to get really nice bridal portraits. This was a late 4pm wedding, so everything was slightly rushed to make our shoot possible. The décor was really pretty, yet again by exquisite functions. I love fairy lights they always make the ceremony pics- and are a total must have for all indoor weddings. A week before the shoot Mitesh and I went back to one of our old locations which we used for a kids shoot, and instead of cosmos flowers we found a field filled with corn- it’s quite amazing to see the same locations at different times of year. The timing of our location shoot was perfect, the sun was just setting and we got some amazing shots of the orange and pink sunset which is common around this time of the year in Benoni. more images Sound: Mitesh-073 313 1577 Decor: Exquisite functions 19th February 2011
It was a cloudy morning which turned into a blue sky afternoon. Well till 15min after Shaori made her entrance. Then the grey clouds came rumbling in, with a lot of wind and then the rain started. Well you might think what wrong with a little rain except this was a outdoor wedding.. We shot most to the ceremony being soaked (yes mitesh and i were literally dripping) with immediate family members holding umbrellas over the couple- most of you would think what a disaster but it was rather cute and romantic. Shaori and Himesh were such sports, they never let the bad weather ruin their experience. Luckily we managed to get shots of all décor stuff before. Despite the rain the wedding was so romantic. more images Décor: Aadil 082 735 5559 Venue: Wanderers club 6th February 2011
I’ve known Jeenal since what feels like forever, so to see her get married was strange for me-but that’s always the case when i cover weddings of family or friends. The function went off well and everything was quite relaxed and organised. The stage décor was neat, uncluttered and pretty- its always nice when décor doesn’t take away from the couple. The only thing that was slightly rushed was the couples shoot as I’m sure the grooms party were eager to take their new bride home… I thought Ameet would be shy on location, thou he surprised me and made Jeenal more comfortable. On location we were lucky enough to find pretty purple and white flowers. See images below. Absolutely love the first black and white image- which mitesh took Decor: Exquisite functions Make up: Naina |
